LESSON 5 : THE GOD CHASE

Every man’s first step in Christianity is being born again by belief in Jesus Christ and Comfession to forsake a former way of Life to embrace this new Life. Old things are passed away and all things become new, including the revelation of your identity as a son and a new member of Christs fold. 


Every man must take a step further into the knowledge of what we’d like to call the God Chase. 

Follow us from these two perspectives

1: Chased after by God

This is the perspective shared with you to let you know you weren’t just lost and not sought after, the Bible says the shepherd leaves 99 sheep in the fold to search for 1 lost sheep, goes further to tell us that heaven rejoices over one soul that repents than the 99 that have no need of repentance.

Whilst we were yet sinners, christ died for us and he has loved us with an everlasting love, a translation buttresses the point by saying expect Love, Love and More Love meaning we could never exhaust it and it only gets better from here. The God we’re serving isn’t bossy, he’s a leader by example in all meanings of the word, we can never outdo him in good deeds because he is a good God who is only doing more wonders for us to believe and receive and have this life, Zoe (the God life)

This reality must sink in, that we are chased after by God.


2: Chasing after God

This intention is the equation that balances the chase, imagine the person you’re obsessed over, loving you back! It will become a competition to outdo one another in deeds of love. 

Jesus says “I love those who love me”

God so loved the world yeah? But the complete love equation dwell with those who love God back and burn for him. 

Psalm 63:1 oh God you are my God and early will I seek you, my soul longs for you and heart longs for you in a dry and weary land…

Matthew says blessed are those who hunger and thirst for they shall be filled


conclusively

Gods side of the chase is constant because in him and with him is no shadow of doubt and God is not a man that he should lie, our side, being humans is the variable, meaning adjustable due to conditions but we can trust God to put unconditional love for him in our hearts and we’ll find ourselves loving God passionately hence balancing the God chase.

Referential words in scripture include begat, bear, delivered(contextual) etc.  Some others which may show the process include conceived, bare etc. WHAT IS BIRTH? Birth is simply the process of child bearing Birth is the descriptive name used around the scenario of offsprings emerging from all living things. Animals give birth, even plants bear fruits. LESSON 1 : GROWTH IN ITSELF

GROWTH IN ITSELF it is recorded in Luke that Jesus GREW,in wisdom, in stature, and in Favour with God and Man. Paul the Apostle said in one of his epistles, that Childhood brought the acting and thinking pattern of a child, but Adulthood is characterized by the putting away of childish things.  Everything stated about growth shows how much it’s greatest effects are on you and how much of a personal thing it is. So Whilst you can be schooled and adviced, the onos lies on you to GROW UP.  growth in context here refers to spiritual growth but it affects all other corners as we see in Jesus.  Proverbs tells us that Wisdom is the principal and most important item on the “get” list among all our gettings.
